Fire Safe Europe (FSEU) will hold a free webinar "Three reasons why fire resilience contributes to sustainable buildings" on 22 May from 14:30 to 15:00 CEST. The webinar is open to anybody having an interest in sustainability and/ or fire safety.

Summary & objectives
We are changing the way we build. Modern sustainable buildings cater to new end-user needs, bring new technologies and the use of new materials, which significantly influences the performance of buildings in fire.
When we create sustainable buildings, we consider indoor environment quality, water efficiency, materials and resources, energy efficiency, etc. Yet we forget what should be an important element of any sustainable building: fire resilience.
Through this webinar, you will:
- Learn more about how fire resilience of buildings can contribute to the sustainable development goals 9, 11 and 12,
- Discover why fire resilience needs to be considered when developing policies, regulations and sustainable building rating schemes.
Agnes is responsible for Public Affairs in Sustainable Construction at the ROCKWOOL Group, focusing on EU sustainable construction policies and regulations, Circular Economy, global Environmental Product Declarations and sustainable building assessment.
Her passion is to get life cycle thinking in the construction sector integrated into daily practice, and sustainable buildings mainstream as part of a Circular Economy.
Agnes participates in several European networks and associations in the construction sector, as well as in sustainable construction standardization work in CEN TC350 and chairing the Dutch NEN mirror committee.
Fanny is currently the Public Affairs Manager for fire safety at the ROCKWOOL Group.
Before joining ROCKWOOL, Fanny worked six years at the Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology where she managed the strategic resilience department. Her work was focused on both international and national projects, researching fire safety engineering as well as resilience.
Fanny holds a Master’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from UQAM in Montreal.
