Comparative Study of National Fire Safety Requirements on Hospitals

1 May 2021

Understanding how countries compare when it comes to national fire safety requirements is important: it enables us to identify trends and to have a better vision of the fire safety regulatory landscape across Europe. This landscape is ever-evolving, as countries improve and modify their regulations.

This comparative study of national fire safety requirements will look into three types of buildings:

  • High-rise residential buildings

  • Schools

  • Hospitals

This 2nd report, which focuses on hospitals, aims to present the data and provide insights into different countries requirements, key trends and differences. For this part of the study, the European Fire Safety Community has worked to provide valuable data from 20 countries.
