Policy Recommendations on Inserting Fire Resilience in the EU Green Deal Initiatives

Following its Digital Roundtable on “Boosting the EU Green Deal Initiatives on buildings with Fire Resilience” on 30 September with MEP Pietikäinen, MEP Fajon, Prof. McNamee, Mr Jaanisoo and Ms Dyrbøl, Fire Safe Europe is publishing this policy recommendations document based on the exchange that took place during the event.

These policy recommendations are structured around three key areas:

1. Reflecting the multifaceted nature of sustainability in European and national building regulations by including fire safety

2. Harnessing the potential of green technologies in a fire-safe way

3. Raising awareness among citizens and stakeholders of the dynamics between sustainability and fires.
