Protecting Europe’s cultural heritage from fire risks requires a comprehensive approach that combines innovation, education, and collaboration. Recent incidents, such as the Copenhagen Stock Exchange fire, have exposed the vulnerabilities of historic sites, highlighting the urgent need for robust fire safety measures.

Education and awareness are essential, with specialized training and public engagement playing a key role in effective prevention and response. At the same time, EU coordination can enhance national efforts by providing harmonized guidelines, research funding, and fostering collaboration.

By prioritizing these efforts, Europe can better safeguard its cultural treasures for future generations.
